Weekend Time!! Lets get into it….
Tonight, Friday August 16th, stop by the Hammer Museum to see No Age, Sun Foot, Devin Gary & Ross for a FREE all ages music event. Parking under the museum is $3 after 6, which is pretty great for the neighborhood. The event titled Generationalpictomusicapolis starts at 8p (cash bar and food inside).
If you need some laughs tonight after a stressful week, check out Hello Giggles at the Nerdmelt theater at Meltdown Comics on Sunset. The show is from 9 -10:30 and tickets are $8 (get them here). Tonight will have Rory Scovel, Eric Andrea, Cameron Esposito and more. It’ll be a good time.
My only event for Saturday August 17 (and also is happening August 18) is so good it stands alone: Echo Park Rising. HERE‘s a link to the stages and times. This all weekend music event stretches all over Echo Park, so get ready for it!
On Sunday August 18th, if you want to continue the Echo Park Rising party, it’ll still be going on all day. If not check out Andy Dick at Cinefamily for their Everything Is Film Fest. Tickets are $14, and you can get them HERE. Get ready for Moral Orel and claymation for this 3pm show.
Hot Mess Vintage (at 3318 W. Sunset) is hosting “The Drop In Show” from 8-9:30p with Jerrod Carmichael, Rory Scovel, Robert Dean, Alice Wetterlund, Danny Solomon and “The Drop In”! Hosted by Zach Sims.
